da Silva Cristina da Silva currently writes the Toronto Star's "Condo gardener" column. Cristina graduated with a BS and MS in horticulture form the University of Guelph. Urban gardens is one of Cristina's passions. She has worked as a garden designer and garden writer in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, San Francisco (California) and Sydney (Australia).

Shauna DobbieShauna Dobbie grew up in Winnipeg and is editor of Ontario Gardener Living magazine, Canadian Trees and Beautiful Communities, a magazine for community beautification and improvement volunteers. Shauna is also the founding president of the charitable organization Schools in Bloom. She was chair of the Communities in Bloom-Ontario board for 2006, and a member of the WinterLights committee of the national Communities in Bloom organization. She has volunteered as a judge for all these groups. |

Marcia Lenglet has been practicing
flower arranging in the tradition of the Misho School for 25 years. Misho
is a classical school named after its founder Mishosai Ippo. Misho, the
founder's name, means "a stored power arising to bring movement just
before birth (or rebirth)." In a classical Misho arrangement,
three lines move around a single point, suggesting contained power moving
towards release. |

Ursula Eley Ursula
became interested in floral design about 10 years ago and floral design
and gardening are now a passion. She is an accredited design judge with
Garden Clubs of Ontario. At present Ursula belongs to 7 horticultural
societies including specialty garden clubs such as the Orchid Society and
Bonsai Society, and is President of the Beach Garden Society.

Lillie HaworthLillie
is an accredited horticultural and design judge through the Garden Clubs
of Ontario and Royal Botanical Gardens, where she is also an instructor in
floral design and a volunteer with the RBG Auxiliary. She is a lecturer
and presenter of floral design and flower show practices. Lillie is a
member of the Grimsby Garden Club and past president of Garden Clubs of
Ontario. She is also a member
of many specialty societies, including the Lily Society and the
Rhododendron Society. |

Husband
Marguerite joins us today from Owen Sound. It was after moving to this area that she began showing an interest in gardening and floral design. She is an accredited design judge with the Garden Clubs of Ontario.Marguerite is a flower show exhibitor and a member of Flower Show Committees, the most recent being the Garden Clubs of Ontario's Triennial Flower Show the "Big Picture" at the Royal Botanical Gardens last October. She is currently a member of the Georgian Bay Garden Club and the Markdale Horticultural Society.
